Dr. Saad Al-Khalifa

Dr. Saad Al-Khalifa is the Chief Medical Officer and Managing Director at The Eye Infirmary. Dr. Saad Al-Khalifa holds a graduate diploma from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (1992-1998), with a completed Residency Training Program in ophthalmology at McGill University, Montreal (2004), certification from the Canadian board of Ophthalmology and fellowship of Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (2004-2006). With 14 years of professional experience, Dr. Saad is a highly experienced and highly respected ophthalmological surgeon within the region.

Dr. Haitham Abdulghaffar

As a Consultant Ophthalmologist at our clinic, Dr. Haitham Abdulghaffar obtained a graduate diploma from Misr University for Science & Technology in 2005, and completed extensive fellowship training at European Board of Ophthalmology in 2016. Dr. Haitham has also completed fellowships in Orbital Surgery, Oculoplasty and Ocular Oncology in Arvind Eye Hospital (2018), Oculoplasty, Orbit & Cosmetic Facial Surgery in Barmherzigen Brüder Hospital (2019), Orbital Surgery, Oculoplasty and Cosmetic Facial Surgery in Chinese (2019), and Medical Cosmetology in Medical Cosmetology (2019). Dr. Haitham also holds accreditations from the German Medical Board in Ophthalmology (2015), the Medical Council of Canada (2009), and the Ministry of Health in Bahrain (2006). With 15 years of experience in his field, across Bahrain, Germany, India and Hong Kong, Dr. Haitham is one of the leading surgeons in his field.

Dr. Yasser Anwar

Dr. Yasser Anwar is an internationally recognised visiting Oculoplastic Surgeon. With accreditations from the Royal College of Surgeons Canada (2002) and Medical Council of Canada (1998). Having completed his graduate degree at McMaster University School of Medicine in Canada (1997), he completed his residency at the University of Toronto (2002). Dr. Yasser also obtained his fellowship diploma from the University of Cincinnati and the Cincinnati Eye Institute (2003). With 17 years of specialist experience, he was also elected as Member of the Board of Directors, and President of Professional Medical Staff at William Osler Health Center Corporation (2011-2012). Dr. Yasser has also contributed towards an extensive list of publications, and lectures at a post-graduate level at renowned universities within his field.
